The Varsity Game, league play, and cups

The Varsity Game is the annual match against Cambridge University; it is the oldest basketball competition still played in the UK, running since 1921. Every OUBbC team has its own fixture against their Cambridge University counterpart, all played on the same day, with an alternating host city each year. In 2025, OUBbC won all five fixtures (a clean sweep); in 2026, the Women's Blues extended their winning streak to three straight Varsity Games.

In 2025 and 2026, the Women's Blues won back-to-back champions at the Tournoi Les Parisiennes. The 2025/26 Men's Blues reached the final of the Men's Midlands Conference Cup, losing 65–76 to the University of Nottingham on 11 March 2026 after wins over the Birmingham University, the University of Leicester, and the University of East Anglia.
